This evening's football

One or two comments regarding this evening's Carling Cup ties then I really must go to the post office; first of all Perry Groves, you might be considered a cult figure by most Arsenal fans, but I think you're a prat and your assertion that Arsenal might struggle tonight in Burnley just because it's freezing cold is utter tripe.

It gets cold in London too you ginger knob and if memory serves and even if it was an issue, they beat Sheffiled United 3-0 last year in Yorkshire. This reminds me of how the sage football media predicted Dennis Bergkamp would be a flop in the Premiership because of the rain here. Holland is how far from England, 100 miles? Quite sure it rains there too. **

Rory Delap's throw ins; why all the fuss about it? Sky pundits all sitting about scratching their heads trying to figure out how to defend against it. Dear lord, it's not some unique weapon never seen before in the history of the game, it's not like being up against Diego Maradona where you need six players to mark him.

His throw-ins are effective because they're like being given a corner, usually people can't chuck it that far, so erm...you defend them the way you would a corner don't you? If they score they score, but why is it any different? This coaching game is easy. I'm off to the post-office then.

** Additional: Bugger orf now Perry, we lost because we were rubbish and Nicklas Bendtner can't hit a cows arse with a banjo, not because it was cold. So there.
